Should soccer use a 5-referee system with two on-field umpires?

With soccer looking more like WWF wrestling every day with the dives and such, why can't there simply be enough eyes in the proper positions to track the game and make correct calls? Every game there are a number of missed calls because the man in the middle simply cannot keep up with the play. It is just like watching a televised wrestling match where crap goes on while a ref is distracted. Sure the linesmen can raise their flages (which they seldom do) but they can't whistle a play dead and if the referee dosen't acknowledge the call they might as well be flagging down a train.
I see nothing beautiful about grabbing, holding, and diving. It is also completly nuts to think that players will "shape up" unless there is no consequences for their actions. Finally, it is the speed of play that already keeps refs out of the play.

There are 5-6 referees in American football, and guess what..... they miss calls. They miss more than the 3 do in soccer. And to compare a real sport to one that is written and choreographed is insane. The AR's are there to assist and let the referee know when something happened out of his/her eyesight. And every match I have seen, when the flag went up, play was stopped. Especially in today's game where they have electronic flags and headsets to communicate with each other. As for the dives and misconduct the referee and the ar's do not see, FIFA is cracking down with fines and suspensions to the players and teams where video evidence is available. Now it may take FIFA to crack down even harder before some of these guys get the message, but it will work.
And please never, ever compare the real football to 'raslin' again.
